Direction
TMaps are usually arranged with NORTH at the top. There are 4 cardinal points on a compass. There are twelve intermediate points on a compass.
Bearings can be used to work out the exact direction from one point to another. A BEARING is the angle that is measured clockwise from North (zero). A protractor or compass is used to measure a bearing.
